Writing an email of more than a few lines on Gmail via my 8800 often causes a crash -
"Uncaught exception: Application gm_v4_0_L1 (379) is not responding, process terminated.
Not seeing much about this in the groups -- anybody else? Solutions?

I've been having the same problem. There's also difficulties in the download link (thought maybe they had updated it) -- try this forum

I've found a solution - don't write long emails in gmail on the blackberry. That's the only solution I've found though. I'm not sure what the limit is, but it's only with particularly long emails that it crashes.
Its not just with long emails. I've had it running in the background sitting idle and had the crash pop up while browsing the net. I think its time-based?
Hrmm, I've never had it crash sitting idle in the background. Only ever when I do long emails. Perhaps there's more than one crashing bug? Oh well, I'm ditching it for an iPhone next month anyway :)
